The Adriatic is more than a hotel. It’s a building-high art piece, placed on the main square, in the heart of Rovinj’s Old Town. The hotel was built in 1913 and completely renovated in 2015, keeping the spirit of traditional architecture with a modern twist. Each of the 18 luxurious rooms/suites has its unique interior and view. The suits have very lively names: Atelier and Gallery – inspired by typical venues for creating and displaying art; Piazza – Italian word for the picturesque square right beneath; Adriatic Suite – in accordance with its elegant interior in Mediterranean style and a breathtaking view over the sea and promenade. Aside from king-size beds and design furniture, true eye-catchers are fireplaces, open/moonlight bath tubs and hand-made mosaics.
In the rooms, corridors and even on the restaurant walls are artworks created exclusively for the hotel. The conceptualized sculptures, twisting reality and oil on canvas pictures will definitely inspire you to look for abstract shapes on the pebble beaches and in waterfront outlines. Evenings you could spend relaxing at the tavern or enjoying classic cocktails and whiskeys at the Adriatic Café Bar.
